TAROS (minotaur)

Prime Requisite: Strength

Other Requirements: Constitution 12 or better, may not have more than 13 in Wisdom and Intelligence.

Experience Bonus: +5% for Strength of 13-15, +10% for Strength of 16 or greater.

Other: +2 Strength; -2 Intelligence

Hit Dice: 1d12 per level with Constitution adjustments, up to 8th level. Starting at 9th level, +3 hit points per level and Constitution adjustments no longer apply.

Weapon Skills: 3 initial, +1 at levels 3, 6, 9 and 12. +1 additional skill every 200,000xp beyond 3,600,000xp.

Other Skills: 3 initial, +1 at levels 5, 9 and 3,600,000xp. +1 additional skill every 500,000xp beyond 3,600,000xp.

Maximum Level: 9th level.

Armour Allowed: All; Shields allowed. (Natural AC is 6)

Weapons Allowed: No limits, but must be of the right dimensions. When he/she reaches Normal Monster level may attack with horns and bite, causing 1-6/1-6 points of damage.

Special Abilities: Base AC 9, 15' infravision, base movement is 90'(30'), use 2 handed melee weapons (not pole-arms) with one hand, can carry 1.5x more than size M and S characters, armour and gear costs 1.5x normal due to size, never get lost in a dungeon, immune to "maze" spell when he/she reaches 6th level. Frenzy like a berserker, fighter manoeuvres at 1st level, 2 attacks per round at 6th level, fighter combat options at 6th level.

Detect Scent: This ability allows the Taros to detect, and possibly follow, various scents that are beyond the smell of humans. The Taros may be able to detect someone who is following the party (provided they have a scent,) or poisons in food, etc.
